EGO Pakistan 2012 Concluded with International Energy Technology Experts
FAKT Exhibitions Private Limited organized EGO Pakistan 2012 at Lahore Expo Centre, which is the International Energy, Gas, Oil, and Power Exhibition and Conference. There were more than 100 exhibitors taking part in this conference, which included major global suppliers, regional agents and distributors of building and construction sector from states like China, Germany, USA, Italy, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Canada and Pakistan as well. China and Germany had special pavilions to display their technological advancement in the fuel sector.
The state-of-the-art equipment and machinery for oil, gas, and energy development was presented to established trade investors. According to Private Power Infrastructure Board Managing Director N. A. Zuberi, energy sector must be given priority over fertilizer industry in Pakistan to produce cheaper electricity. It will not only reduce power shortage and get rid of loading shedding issue, but will also make Pakistan independent in this regard.
With this conference, international buyers can take a look at the energy crisis facing Pakistan and can offer their technological solutions to it. Also, more commerce, trade and business investment opportunities are highlighted through such events. FAKT has also planned to organize nine more such events. It has already been involved in organizing such events as IGATEX- The Regional Largest Textile Exhibition, 3P- Plastic, Printing and Packaging and F+T- Food + Technology Build Pakistan, Safety, Security and Rescue and Pakistan Machine Tools and Machinery exhibitions and conferences.
There is a need of such gatherings where both Pakistan’s potential and need can be brought into focus and international investors can see their scope in investing in the country. Unfortunately, there is no strong policy regarding energy supply and demand because of which the government relies on alternative methods of saving energy like load-shedding. This in turn damages business prospects and economy.
