About Green & White
Green & White was started by Osama A. with the vision of becoming the one-stop place for industry news, analysis and insight. Today we are moving fast towards achieving that goal.
This is a journal about the industry, run by industry members and contributors from all levels.
Our Authors and guest writers are all volunteers from specific companies.
Vision
Imagine a place where everyone from Executive Leaders, Managers, Employees, Interns and Students met frequently and discussed challenges that the industry faces in the path to progress.
This place is impossible to build in real-life, but online we can easily build a Virtual Panel Discussion for the entire industry!
Why would we need one when Pakistan’s economy has gone many leaps and bounds in the past years? Simply because with each wave of old-school thinking is replaced by cutting edge business practices, new challenges arise as a result. The industry faces significant shortages of valuable trained employees, and that is not a demand-side issue. Even for average people, wages are going up simply because there are no alternatives within the country, and because of this mid-sized companies are considering sourcing their Engineering and Technology resources from outside the country.
These and other industry specific challenges are stopping the Pakistani industry from making a large mark in the international markets.
Its time for us to take the shovels in our own hands — for us to put “group thinking” to work to constructively discuss, debate and derive solutions. It’s time for us to have Coffee Sessions.
How Can You Get Involved?
The best thing about using this platform for this discussion and news panel is that it is interactive. You hold the power to educate the masses just as much as anyone else here.
The first thing you can do is start participating in the discussions and debates here. OR, you could start your own thread of conversations by becoming a Guest Writer.
If you feel like you can write in just the same flavor of Green&White authors, why not become a permanent contributing author?
