Our Software Development firms and individuals have shown quick adaption when it comes to Mobile Application Development, and it’s not a surprise that with in months of launch of Windows Mobile 7 we are seeing people venturing into that space.

is a student of  FAST Karachi, who decided to accept the challenge Microsoft presented in their Middle East and Africa Challenge for Windows Mobile 7 Development.

He has developed a Scoring application for Windows Mobile 7 Platform to participate in the competition.

Here is what Niyaz had to say about this

In most parts of the world, football elicits great passions and emotions playing an important role in the life of individual fans, local communities, and even nations. ‘Kick Now’ is the new wrapper and the pocket is the place. It is a Window Phone 7 app that is the highway for football followers with almost a full score on user interface and Windows phone 7 metro style graphics Boost. It allows customization for people coming in from around the globe according to their language. With statistical biographies of all the champions and of angry managers, live scores, News details, team schedules, Special news, Top stories, 24/7/365 news coverage and more, all to pamper your appetite. A nudge comes with breaking news making sure you do not miss out on anything.
Over all this glittery app with prodigious application has to put a smile on one’s face. ‘Kick Now’ will not help in any specific way to get over your football-madness but it is what one might call a fun app. Football fans will surely love to use this app.

I was working on Windows phone 7 since its development at Pi-Labs (www.pi-labs.net). I had a great experience working on Live projects for Windows phone 7 that are currently running successfully in UK, then I saw an article by Microsoft for Windows phone 7 application development competition which was targeted in whole Middle East Asia (www.meawp7challenge.com) and I decided to go and participate from Pakistan.

CCP Gives Guidelines Against Telecom Companies’ Deceptive Marketing

If only were there two things when it comes to the law, firstly the fear of breaking it and by passing the legal authority, and secondly, implementation of the law given full dedication, there would have been less competency and dishonesty in business and society. In order to enforce this part of the law and stop anti-competitive conduct on part of the telecom companies in advertising, the guidelines have been shared with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and other concerned telecommunication sector members, in …

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) was supposed to have completed the system of biometric SIM verification by now, but it has been delayed. The biometric SIM verification system was required for purchase of new connections. The delay had been caused by the absence of decision-making officials at the PTA. The other parties concerned with this new system to be introduced, both the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) and the telecom companies are all prepared for this new system to take over.

The absence of officials has been caused by the internal problems that PTA has been going through one after the other. After the dismissal of the former chairman Farooq …
