This Friday – Startup Insiders #4 – Sponsored by Alchemy Technologies – Follows a theme
Oh boy – we’ve barely gotten back from Lahore and had a chance to breathe and rest and get over the flu that came with the arctic cold front that passed through here, when Karachi is already ready for another coffee session!
Startup Insiders #4 is sponsored by Alchemy Technologies and will be held in the Marriot Karachi from 630-830pm on February 8th.
This time around, they are focusing on answering just three important questions:
- Who is my customer – how do I find their pain?
- How do I find my customer and reach out to him to get him to pay attention?
- How do I sell to them, and what do I sell to them? When do I sell it?
Ok its more than three questions but it follows a specific theme so should be interesting.
The Panel this time includes:
- Jawwad Farid, CEO Alchemy Technologies
- Yusuf Jan, CEO, Mixit Technologies
- Amer Hashmi, Founder and CEO, SI3
- Adnan Agboatwalla, Co-founder, PixSense
- Faisal Qureshi, CEO Kolachi Advanced Technologies
- Jehan Ara, President, PASHA
Get everyone you know to show up – we need to break records and make
sure there’s a lot of videos of the event up at YouTube just after it.

I don’t know if it is the Panel or just a ripple effect from the last three events … but the registrations began pouring in 2 minutes after I put up the post. Absolutely exhilirating!

Hi Osama,
I have a little suggestion for you and Jehan Ara, see if you people can sort this out:
I was thinking may be in the last hour of Startup Insiders session, you can provide an opportunity for new startups to showcase their work? Like giving 10-15 minutes to each startup to describe their work. By “new startups” I mean those who are planning to launch a startup and have their product ready and want to showcase it to other peers and industry leaders to get advise and comments (and also possible investment.)
I have seen such events happening in other countries like the infamous TechCrunch40 event:
(posted this suggestion at her blog too)
11:54 pm
We have some things in the plans – hopefully will be able to plan them out between PASHA and GNW and do them.

Althought I have responded to Sohail’s suggestion on my own blog, I thought I would share it here as well.
Sohail, your idea is a good one and it is already being discussed at the SI organizational level. We want to fine-tune it a bit so that we are offering a quality program which ends up providing value to both startups and potential investors.
Keep the ideas coming. Remember, although this has been initiated by P@SHA and Green&White, it is a community event so it is up to all of us to evolve it into something that will work for us all.

I want in – I just started work in Pakistan and wasn’t aware of Startup Insiders.
I have tried to get registered, but keep getting failure notification. Can one more seat be arranged for a potential enterpreneur
?
