So Startup Weekend Lahore started with a bang, There were 22 outstanding startups who launched on the event. If you were unfortunate like I was and did not attend the event in person, or you are resident of another city, twitter was buzzing with what happened at the event.
The Hastag for event was #swlhr and just going through it tells what a wonderful event it must have been.
Whatever account I am covering is coming from the tweets, so if you were there do chime in and let us know your thoughts.
Winners of this round of Startup Weekend were Group Photo, an appliction which allows you to take group photos in which, photographer is also present, it seems to solve a very unique problem that most of us face on a daily basis, where there have to be either two pictures of same group (with two people switching the job of picture taking ) or a single picture in which one member is missing. The team had worked under Dr Sohaib at LUMS Vision Lab.
Runners up were Sotlet which are trying to create some thing similar to Shopify. While Glass Press and Cloudclinik tied for third place. Glasspress enables you to generate a mobile app from a wordpress blog while Cloudclinik is an online e-health solution from mid to small medical practitioners.
