If you are a regular visitor you must have seen the appearance of a bar at the bottom. This is a new social bar launched by bumpin.com. It complements their original website visitors communication service, with a touch of social networking and user tracking.
Bumping is another venture from Dr Umar Saif and his team.
You can also see how many people are currently on the site by glancing at the number of vistors mentioned in the bar, clicking that button opens a panel where you can see the profile where users of current page and site are coming from.
Similarly the twitter button opens the twitter stats and mentions for the user. Other buttons like share and imchat are self explanatory with share allowing you to share the page/post to digg, email and other services. while imchat allows you to login to you messengers from the website.
The shoutbox button opens original bumpin window, where you whouls be able to see people on the site and page and able to communicate with them in real time. The business proposition for such a service is huge, smallest being it brings interactivity to an otherwise dull static content what if you could actually discuss the funding post in real time with other people who have just read this.
Taking it a notch further think of it in this scenario, you are out on an online eshop to buy a new cell phone and have opened the page to see Nokia N97, what if at that decision making moment before entering the item in your cart you are able to see how many people are on that same page exploring that phone, you can actually discuss the merits and de-merits of the purhcase, take it still further what if you were a nokia representative and through that stream you are able to turn that potential buyer into and actual one or collect invaluable data just by being there to see what influenced the purchases and what turned the potential buyers off. Although technically speaking twitter and facebook have also encroached on this turf, however the scope still is there for such a real time service to make it big.
