Terrorism Takes it’s toll – Four cities make to 25 riskiest cities for Offshore Outsourcing list published by CIO
This was some thing inevitable, the recent surge of violence in country specially this year was bound to take is toll and CIO talks of a research which lists 25 most dangerous cities for outsourcing and sadly four of our major metropolitans make it to the top 25, with Karachi topping the list. Lahore at 6th most dangerous city and Rawalpindi and Faisalabad as 13th and 14th.

If you read through the comments our Community has already reacted strongly and people from other cities in the list have also came out and challenged the methodology of ranking. They have not highlighted the indicators effecting the ranking, so this is just a perception, as mentioned in the article. However what is not clear is who this perception is coming from are they actual Businesses doing business in these cities and then ranking them dangerous or are these future potential businesses exploring outsourcing opportunities and basing this on their perceived image from the media? I believe its the later.

This is not new for us, we have been fighting negative images for a long long time, how much would this coming from a source like CIO will effect our growth only time can tell. But if history is to be any judge we usually are good at fighting in difficult circumstances.
