Hi Anthoney,
Your right but if the problem is money, and other barriers..let's think of a way to remove them?
One way is to use internet technology to add value to an idea (the startup )until it has sufficient traction to attract capital..
A fundamental is lead generation which is a very cost effective way (using list building strategies )to start a business.
Singapore has become very successful by basing it's educatioal system on problem solving.
Pakistan'greatest potential is ,i suggest in intellectual property ..creativity. This requires low cost infrastructure ( it's mainly thinking at home ?)
In practice it needs a educational input to catylise this ..The quickest way is via a competition which involves the whole nation.
Eg "Beat the investors " A game show with student entrepreneurs contesting investors in real time using interactive interactive TV monitor streaming.
The technology exists to do this ...NOt only would it stimulate PK young but it gives them the opportunity to export their innovations in creative subjects as well as invention .

let's start the startups ! Ian

"Startup opportunities are better in Pakistan than anywhere else in the world. "

I couldn't agree with you more. I think Pakistan has a great untapped market. We are seeing that with Mazaydar and hopefully with our next few ventures we will really get to exploit this market.
