Xtravo Explorer: Genius of a 19 year old Pakistani

Imran Sheikh, 19 has developed, what is considered the fastest IE-based browser to date, Xtravo Explorer. Though still in its beta version, this browser has caught the attention of not only the local media but also has gained mass popularity worldwide. The explorer is powered by IE, and its requirements include 10 megabytes (MB) of hard disk drive (HDD), 128 of random access memory (RAM), Net Framework 2 (Compulsory) and Windows Operating System.
Salient features of Xtravo are tab browsing, short cuts, fast browsing, Integrated RSS feeds and Integrated DOM introspection. its advanced pop up blocker, provides its users with safe and secure browsing. However, The individuality of this explorer is not only restricted to loading heavy websites within 10 seconds, but the special features for web designers: Document Reader, which allows one to review the websites coding and Image Grabber, which permits saving multiple pictures at the same time. Also, the improved ftp uploader through which webpages can be uploaded by simply typing: ftp.yourdomain.com.
User reviews on various websites have termed Xtravo as user friendly. However, Sheikh Imran is yet to attain larger mainstream recognition on this remarkable breakthrough of his in the information technology sector of Pakistan. With such a vast list of evangelists while still in its beta version, the explorer is sure to head for great success.

Web browser XTravo Explorer surprised me. Although I can’t say this free browser is going to kick Firefox off my system anytime soon, it at least has some interesting ideas. It’s worth checking out.

Okay it’s official now!!!
Xtravo was formally offered today $35 Million for the browser. However, when our acquisition VP called the mobile number gave an error – saying “network too busy”.
Damn it.. only if Mobilink could create as high quality products as Xtravo..
Our VP said he’ll try again tomorrow. Does anyone know land-line number of the founder of Xtravo?
Everything is ready.. the cheque, the contract – even the visa for the founder along with a first class ticket to our Seattle office.
By the way, whoever knows the founder please tell him that Steve jobs will only waste his time. But i have very credible news that tonight or tomorrow he will be calling personally to make an offer and will be flying over to Pakistan early next month!
This news is becoming quite exciting now.. !! I think we should have celebration sessions in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi and all the other cities.

Apple owner Steve Job is thinking to make an Offer to Xtravo Explorer.
The amount that is disclosed is $100 Million, but they are still seeing whether they should buy out or not.

It’s funny how people are trying to degrade a kid’s work.
@Tahir Rauf: You made it in 5th Semester. YOu must be 20+ by the time you made it as a “Class Assignment”. You already had 2 years of academic experience of Computer Science with knowledge. Comparing yourself with a 19 years old kid is as silly as your comments.
Beside that, making a product is not a difficult thing..any coder can do it..thing is how to market it and make it public.. That’s the thing which counts. Products like Facebook,Mac and DOS were not so different. They got attention due to awesome marketing by Marc,Jobs and Gates respectively.
And those who are criticizing Imran using some existing code, what do you say about MS about “relabeling” 86-DOS as MS DOS?

I am really surprised at people who are pissed off that this kid made this! They couldn’t do something worth while so they come here and complain that its crappy! Get a life. He did a good job and it works well. Think straight and then think about going to Mars. Appreciation of little stuff gets to much more. If we keep up our attitude, we will remain under-developed for ever.

Jawoco. Com has started working on Xtravo Explorer 2.5. There is a buzz that XE 2.5 is the official product of Microsoft and IE 8 will be discontinued.
Xtravo explorer 2.0.18 will be out of beta after two weeks.

Xtravo has renowned itself so much in less time. I believe that soon Xtravo will come up with there own engine because if you read their company’s blog uyou can make it out that they are up to something big.

Xtravo is not a browser, its build on top of i-explorer, we can say some “extension” although not a write word to say. although few clicks in .dot net can produce such things.
There are lot of efforts made by some other guys at http://www.sourceforge.net, please search there “browser” there will be in thousands of results will be, lot of good features even commercial browser don’t have.
I would appreciate the work as the direction of the young guy is very close to the real market just see google also jump into this market as very rich & matured browser are already in the market like IE, Fire-Fox, Google-Chrome (i hate Google to get monopoly over all IT fields).
I would suggest the guy to join the open-source fire-fox team to enhance or improve or simplify it, source code is available there at site, it would be a good and directed effort instead of going from scratch for his own browser, which would take time, and i think a wasteful effort will be.
I would like fire-fox to be more simple and give an appealing look, and every process could be attached/detached into a separate process/window.
These could be target if you are interested in instead of wasting your precious time on Xtravo, because Microsoft will never share his source-code to you.

I was a software tester and i have checked and runned this browser under various O.S. Till now its performance are best among other browsers. I am amazed that beta version is without any bug (atleast for me). the team and Imran has done realy hard work and deserve to be called GENIUS.

Are you guys crazy, its clear that he has copied the browser. And Microsoft will never accept Sheikh who just copied not created a browser using one of their tools.
I think Microsoft will give promotion to that guy who created that api. If we say that Shiekh is going to Microsoft then it will be a crazy man’s dream. My brother designed a better browser than xtravo using same api in his last semester.
