When personal computers first came out. No body really knew why they should have one at their home. It was just so charismatic!! thats all. I remember microsoft's ad saying their windows 95 has a Digital Clock !!. it turns out that when millions of people had a PC (may be they wanted to have a digital clock or play games, etc :p), internet had a chance to be invented. the thing is you never know how people can use your product.All you can do is put your idea to reality. People will find a way to use it. The moto is to have fun and let your creativity flow. If you think too much trying to figure out whats serious, you may limit your potential. Maybe this chat widget is a stupid idea but thats one opinion. people may find an excellent use for it. just give them a chance Osama you are right so let me reply seriously
