It may seem like a minor technicality, but it matters (from a legal perspective). There is one thing I'd like to add to the above (but hey, I'm from "the company" and my opinion is open to suspect): we do not require users to register before downloading the application. You can download it either directly from our website, or by going to Download.com. The application is fully operable without registering. Should you have to upload anything, however, that's when you'll need to register (simply by entering a valid email address).
