In breaking news, PTA has terminated the license of Instaphone with immediate effect. This comes due to the company’s failure to pay outstanding dues for the license renewal fee they agreed to in April 2005 ($291MM).
This was somewhat expected, the company has been struggling to get anywhere for the past couple of years, and over the past 6 months I have not really seen any news about it.
I love what Qurtaba are doing in a niche area of Urdu Language. Although their start was from Nan-Map for which they now have an iPhone App.There love for Urdu language related apps has been flourishing in recent months. Most of their apps are doing very well on app store, some impressive numbers for their popular Urdu apps are as follows.

All beside that its also tru that instaphone has wind up his services @ tehsil level.i am using instaphone from its begning but now in major cities its services banned by PTA.Secondly the company employee advise us to port their number.

well Instaphone is a company’s name.. we Loved and still we do. but right now its a matter of the management not the name!! Management has started so many projects in Karachi and elsewhere.. Instaphone’s current management is playing in Dollars. They Bought insta ” Taakeh apnay karzay muaaf karwa sakain” i wrote this in Urdu so everyone can read and understand this FACT.
i started this Forum and Osama knows me by now:-).. We can just say This shouldnt have Done.. all other companies are Like bugging the poor people of Pakistan and these people are so simple cz of illeteracy:-)

MOBILINK= never competes with other companies it keeps sailing on its same boat, i.e ITS TERRIFS are so much higher than other companies
UFONE= SUX, i.e kaan yahan se pakro ya wahan se rates are quite high
TELENOR= OMG call gets free after 5, 10 or 15 mins:-D but if u think in 5-15 mins it costs u almost 15Rs/Hour.. They making fool to all Telenor coustomers
WARID= Extra Billing + So many Hidden Charges, though m their Customer but i know how they deal.
Zong= hmmm better in call rates but again They have so many Hidden charges which their customers can prove. I am one among them:-(
