Catch me at the TES Summit – Show me some demos
If you’re planning on attending the TIE Entrepreneurial Summit in Lahore, do try to seek me out in the crowd. I’ll be the guy hovering around the coffee tables; frequently nursing a badly sprained shoulder while at the same time hoisting a mammoth laptop on it to try to liveblog any part of the event; seeking coffee like an elixir to revive the sleep that I’ve missed the past three days; looking war-beaten from too much travel; with a distinct look of a man who has 40 hours of things to do in about 24 as he tries to manage 5 times more business leads than he’d anticipated with the faint reassurance that this is probably a good problem to have.
You know that look, right? Good, then you wont miss me.
But if you do find me, I want to see some demos out of you.
In my recent travels the past month or so I’ve been amazed to meet some important and highly influential people from the industry who are also G&W regulars.
Our first phase towards the goal of entrepreneurial support in the country was a success – we raised more awareness about more startups than any other publication in the country (check it and let me know).
The goal was to make some heads turn – to make people take notice, and to bring them here so that they can start considering serious investments or acquisitions or other types of support for the startups.
So now its your turn again — now they’re noticing. Show me some killer demos that we can be happy to share with them. Who knows – like acquisition and investment rumors revolving around startups we covered this year, you can get a big break soon as well.
Its time to come out of hiding – there’s a growing group of people out there ready to support you without stealing your ideas.

I doubt you will be able to blog from there Osama. The invitation clearly states no cell phones, large bags, briefcases or cameras will be allowed inside the Conference Hall. Too many VIPs can sometimes be a hindrance to freedom of expression. I was planning to be there too but too much to clear up before Eid. Look forward to your report.

Oey, stop complaining. This is the right problem to have.
Wait till you close the 5 time more leads and have to implement them in parallel and your clients cut you into five little pieces to ensure that they get decent onsite coverage from you and you alone.
Welcome to the sleepless club. In the immortal words of my ex boss, Success is sweet but follow up is a member of the canine species

lol hey I’m not complaining, just writing the facts – if nothing else it gives me an excuse to drink down even more coffee, and atleast I couldnt complain about that!
