The results are in.
Netsol Technologies has won the Asia Pacific ICT Award for Best Financial Application 2007, while PixSense tied with another company in the Communications category for a merit win.
We (i.e. CDF Snip) did not win the regional award for General Applications, but the company that won was too different from our solution anyway (some automation of cargo shipping).
The experience of attending these awards and seeing the energy that all of the other countries were bringing to the conferences has been a very interesting one – It has opened doors for more than one of the participants that attended for both partnerships or accounts.
From the behalf of CDF Software, I feel PASHA’s support and involvement in these regional activities can certainly boost local companies forward. So thanks for giving this reporter the chance to be in the midst of the action.

Actually Osama, as Stephen Lau – the Chairman of APICTA, said on the night of the Awards, all the 180 nominees who participated at the regional level are WINNERS! Getting that far and competing against peers from Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Korea, Indonesia and others was in itself commendable. Participation in these Awards every year gains for the ICT sector in Pakistan a great deal of respect. I would like to thank all those who took time out from their busy schedules as entrepreneurs to participate in these regional Awards. The judges from Pakistan – Zia Imran, Jawwad Farid and Sultan Hamdani also deserve a special mention. Since I was a judge too I know what a gruelling schedule we had. Jawwad and Zia also worked on assisting the companies with their presentations. Thanks guys!

P.S. Next year we come back strong with our 4.0 and kick everyone’s ass.

Actually Farzal there were Chinese companies and judges but India and Korea didn’t send any nominations. The Indian and Korean participants did come for the ASOCIO Summit which was taking part alongwith APICTA.
