Did everyone make it on the other side?
Wow. Downtime. Terrible Customer Service. Good loyal readers.
It’s been an exciting two days.
Green & White went down for about a day and a half — the fix was eventually simple enough. Our host ate away a critical file from our wordpress installation which made it crash.
So where were we in all this time — um.. lets say bringing closure to the last 7 months. We’ve had a really busy past two quarters and despite a number of honest attempts to kick G&W into higher gears, its been a mix at best (my opinion anyway).
Anyway, this week was busy in infrastructure setup, releases, roadmap planning, business development, demos, flu, purpose-finding, dealing-with-difficult-news, and more.
So busy etc infact that we actually forgot to even look at Green & White for a couple of days (gasp – and G&W fans were heard saying: “I never knew he could!”)
I’ll let you in on another secret – I haven’t had coffee all week. Dont you all faint all at once now…
Anyway, I hope everyone’s back, and THANK YOU for all the love and support. Especailly Jehan Ara, Salman Munir, Fahd Bangash, Faisal Chohan, M. Asif and Mansoor for bugging me about the downtime.
Oh and Mansoor you were right about what was wrong with the host

Welcome back! and lets bring the action back, I think one week break was quite enough for GW
As we are talking about hosts, i recently shifted our site to ocstech.com – the best host I have came across. The team at OCS is pure web dev team working on Ruby on rails (ror) & php 5.X/ mysql 5.x; and providing us the same platform to host. There fanastico (ready to install scripts like wordpress is just awesome). I would summerize it, VPS quality in shared hosting price.

Welcome back. Green&White has become a regular in my coffee break (read ‘blogs reading session’) during the office hours.
