Win a trip to Dubai! From ROZEE?
Ok this is about an email i received from Rozee, first there was one job match i received yesterday which had put me off, but still that was some thing related to Rozee’s domain. The job alert sent to me was offering 1/5th of the salary i mentioned to them in salary surveys, but that can easily be ignored.
But today the subject of email said “Win a trip to Dubai” and i opened it, and it really is a marketing scheme like being promoted by daily use products like soap or cooking oils. And i was kind of furious for the following reasons
1. They have started using my personal email which i gave them for the purpose of sending job opportunities only, not for sending these offers, I never checked any box that said send me gift offers.
2. I Expect people who are signed in on rozee to be potential employees, people who have joined the site just for the purpose, inviting mass market like the was its done for selling a soap really means that every body and no body who would like to go to Dubai will be signing up and probably they will not be interested in any jobs.
This shows to some extent that rozee is targeting just to fill up the user base, and i know for any web base company having a big user base really counts but what about the quality of people on their site, wouldn’t it be good if instead of filling up spaces they we actually getting good targeted people signing up for their site.
I would have easily have been excited if they had said “Win your dream job” or “Let us help you get your best job”or some thing related to my career moves and career progression.
but thank you I can go to Dubai my self, or maybe try the offers being given by lux, seasons, standard chartered and the hundreds of other such offers than sign up on a job board for that.

The email I received was for an SMS jobs alerts service that enters me into a lucky draw for a free trip to Dubai. It wasn’t for cooking oil or soaps, but something very relevant to my quest for a better job! Did we receive the same email or did you get one just about a trip to Dubai?

Ali, we are seeing the same message, my point is if they wanted to introduce a new service and this is a good service if you can get job by through your mobile phone, you have to introduce it professionally, now if you start you pitch by saying i will be going to Dubai then introduce the service i might be put off, because your target market is not interested (majority of it) in going to dubai they are how ever interested in getting new jobs. How many you think of the rozee registered people will sign up for the service in intent of going to dubai and how many will actually be interested in getting this service? I am sure the later number is more.
