Update: Best of all, it is a free service. Now that’s being consumer-oriented!

Diallog is an interesting small WLL operator that no one really knows about, but I think its charming just how much Pakistan focused they are.

Utilizing local cultural knowledge (not just market research data) is a way of creating Relevance, which I’ve been preaching can make your products successful.

It’s ironic, while Ufone and other “locally based” companies emphasize how using their service will make attractive women dance circles around you, it takes Diallog, a foreign company, to actually introduce something more decent and relevant to our culture.

Here’s the latest “unique local” Value-added-service they offer

It’s best to just quote their email:

DIALLOG is bringing you yet another innovative and spectacular Islamic Consultation service called Mufti Online.
Just call at 313 from DIALLOG or 051-7100313 or 042-8200313 from other
networks and get direct advice from certified scholars. You can get
advice related to all sorts of religious issues, clarification of
Islamic concepts, instructions on how to perform religious duties and
special prayers like istikharas and wazaif. Whatever your query; our
Muftis are there to help you. The service is available from Saturdays
to Wednesdays between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. and is charged as per local
DIALLOG call.

What about success? Is diallog more successful for being relevant? Think of it this way: With hardly any advertising budget they’re proudly garnering a loyal following. My guess, is that their churn will be very low as well.

Our (industrially minded technology) industry has yet to see and understand the value of true end user value that spurs word of mouth marketing, as opposed to huge traditional marketing campaigns. Fora like these make it possible to spread the word to early adoptors in the first place, and fora like these are new so hopefully going forward we’ll see more consumer controlled marketing activity as opposed to the traditional corporate controlled kind.

[...] I am a consumer who is empowered with the ability to reach over 4000 professionals through G&W. That sounds like a dangerous man, but here’s the catch: I want to love your company and product. [...]
