On Memory and Web 2.0
Yet another software post
Our internal IT system are almost completely web-based, AJAX driven apps now.
It is great for all of the benefits of central management, and in not having to worry about client-side installs.
But I noticed yesterday that when the systems are in heavy use – with email and the knowledge repo and collaboration tools running — they can collectively eat up a bit of memory. Especially with tools that manage a lot of data on the client side (before committing to server)
Has anyone else experienced lower memory from too much ajax?
