After a number of people asking me to start, almost countless observations of the world around me, and jars and jars of coffee, I have finally decided to blog! The last bit of encouragement that tipped me over has been the great contributions others are making in the constructive commentary of the country we love (…to hate sometimes…)
I think blogs are very important for this point in time for our country. Pakistan is going through a very delicate transformation into a new economy that thrives on information. While old-media paces to catch up with the news, it will inevitably be the writings of those who are on the front lines of the movement that present candid fact to all waiting for inspiration both abroad as well as within the country. Blogs such as Mohtashim’s could become a powerful reporting medium as it evolves. Blogs can help us collaborate to solve the collective common professional issues that often plague us. Blogs can link us with the ex-patriate activity in the world for those in PK.
I will share more details about my vision for this blog in time. For now — what’s this Green&White? Clearly an analogy to our homeland, but I thought it was a befitting name because it could also be analogies to some of the concepts we will see in this blog:
     – “Green & White : describes business? (Money & Contracts)”
     – “I have always had black-and-white ideas of why I’ve wanted to move back to Pakistan… but after coming back it’s been a bit… greenish”
