About the author

Osama A.

Osama runs a Social Media Marketing Agency and a Software Product Company. He has been involved in building online communities since 1997 and his major strengths are understanding how people choose to come together and work as strong cohesive units that believe in brands or causes. His team's flagship product offers highly innovative ways to get professional teams to work better together - resulting in significantly saved time in common tasks around getting people on the same page; and also resulting in a greater sense of trust among virtual teammates. You may contact him at hashmi@cdfsoftware.com with inquiries.

GenITeam is one of the RIA development firms being incubated out of LUMs. We covered them earlier when they were building applications for the Ghost Web OS.

Now, they are announcing a new product called GeniDo.

GeniDo is a FLEX-based front-end interface for Basecamp, which you can use to manage basic lists, todos and messages within a collaborative team. All changes are synced with your Basecamp account automatically using the public API.

One twist is that being Flex based, you can use the application even in offline mode, so this could be useful for heavy Basecamp users who often face disruptions because of poor quality internet.

While right now it is not more than a front-end for Basecamp and mostly a tech-demo for Flex, they claim that over time they will add proprietary features on it themselves that extends the functionality of Basecamp.

Here is a video of their product – let me know what you think. Also, Khurram or Umair please add a link to the private beta so interested people can sign up.
