Sidrat sent me an interesting link to a Global Climate Change march that is being organized online through Avaaz.org

Avaaz.org is an online community of activists from all over south asia working to build a better world, and they have petitions and marches planned on a range of local and regional issues. If you have the genes in you to want to stand up and take action for causes, I recommend taking a look.

The Global Climate Change march is in conjuction with a UN Meeting on the issue in Bali, and the aim is to raise awareness of just how serious this is.

If any of us need proof of the serious effects that climate changes are having in our lives, take a short trip down to lahore. I was there just now from Sunday through Tuesday and could not stop coughing and wheezing throughout the trip as I waded through the smog hanging in the air.

The interesting part of this march though, is that a physical meeting on this topic is also planned in Jacobabad. If you’re heading through the area on that day it would be good to drop in - you might be able to make some very interesting friends and colleagues there.
