Green & White was just highlighted in a list of Top 100 HR Blogs. That’s just half of the story though.

The place that created the list is called http://www.businesscreditcards.com/bootstrapper/ and they sell different types of credit cards to businesses.

Were we highlighted genuinely on merit? Or was the idea that when we will mention this on Green & White, our readers would go that website (i.e. SPAM?!)

It is an interesting fine line, but I will choose the first. Here’s why:

1- On the bootstrapper blog itself, there isn’t any direct links or affiliations with the credit card sales. That’s why I’ve linked to it.

2- On the “About” page the company mentions:

Launched in May 2007, BusinessCreditCards.com provides a resource
for any business owner or self-employeed individual who is searching
for a better credit card.

Our blog, Bootstrapper,
is a resource for any small business owner operating on a shoestring
budget, and provides tips on financing, cash flow, low-cost marketing
and small business loans.

3- The actual content of the blog is quite good — they have clearly put in a lot of efforts to do what they promise in the About page — providing tips on financing, cash flow, low-cost etc. In fact, I’ve added them to my RSS Reader.

4- If nothing else, I really appreciate the honesty and transparency here – they’ve highlighted Green & White, but are in no way suggesting that we give them business. It is an honest transaction, and they seem to trying to run an honest transparent credit-card distribution business.

So, I’m thankful to Bootstrapper for including us in the list.

Qazi, Fahd and everyone else who’s been spending a lot of time to discuss HR topics should feel happy about this.
