360Gadget.com – An iGoogle for Facebook

About the author

Osama A.

Osama runs a Social Media Marketing Agency and a Software Product Company. He has been involved in building online communities since 1997 and his major strengths are understanding how people choose to come together and work as strong cohesive units that believe in brands or causes. His team's flagship product offers highly innovative ways to get professional teams to work better together - resulting in significantly saved time in common tasks around getting people on the same page; and also resulting in a greater sense of trust among virtual teammates. You may contact him at hashmi@cdfsoftware.com with inquiries.

This isn’t a Pakistani startup either, but I’ve interacted with Vivek in the past and thought I would highlight this here.

Vivek Puri is the chief editor of the popular blog startupsquad.com and recently got bit by the startup bug himself.

His team has made a customizable landing page for Facebook, the argument being that since everyone is practically already living there all day, why should they have to leave that website and go anywhere else? Why not just add RSS feeds to their facebook dashboard and have the content run over each other to get to them?

Sounds like a good candidate for the Facebook effect. Wish him the best.

(And yes … no analysis with this one. Beta products, huh? Tell me about it)

360Gadget leverages the DreamFace Interactive Framework to offer unparalleled end-user personalisation of information access, display and interactions.

Beyond what 360Gadget superbly demonstrates for the Facebook platform, the DreamFace Interactive Ajax Framework is a perfect choice for the design of interactive, custom gadgets/widgets that are portable across the emerging widgets platforms, ranging from Facebook, SalesForce to Amazon, Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft, or even to corporate Web sites wishing to add social networking to existing Web properties.

Best of all, it is Open Source and with a growing community of designers and users, DreamFace Interactive WebChannels and WebPrograms are quickly turning into a rich ecosystem.
