The new PSEB IT Job Board launched in partnership with Brightspyre uses a cool new hiring portal engine, and I thought I would highlight a couple of features:
Disclaimer: I’m just highlighting COOL features, no comments on the usefulness of them as a product
1- Credit Cards
This hardly seems like a cool new feature but it is a big help for companies if they dont have to go through 4-5 layers of approvals to put up a post.
2- Jobs Widget
On the technology side — having a widget that people can easily add to their blogs and websites is cool.
3- Email Job to Friend
I can bet this will be incredibly popular in Pakistan — this is the only country in the world where I’ve seen people APPLY for jobs on behalf of their friends.
The thing to watch is whether or not people will add that widget to their blogs — hmm maybe expats would.
On the downside, the job board has a very “beta” feel to it — many simple expected workflows are not supported (categories, cities etc.) so I hope they get to it soon.

Is PSEB getting desperate enough to start sending people to write spam comments under different false names? (p.s. Farrukh and Rana above are the same person based on their WOL.NET IP address… spammers from within the IT industry should atleast know that we can track their IP addresses shouldnt they?)

The internship portal sucks and no one is using it. What’s the point?!? Another failed PSEB initiative. Surprise surprise.
